Abby
It was hard for Abby. She seemed to never fit. People, friends and family included mostly, thought she was uppity for who she was. Abby didn't think so. And heritage would back that up. But no one in Abby's family, or immediate family at least, cared to look at where they'd come from. the names were familiar, but what those names had tried to do with their connotation was lost in futile time. Abby wasn't a throw back, she was more like a piece of that intention persevering. shining back through. Another chance. Without knowing a thing about names or reputations, Abby knew she wanted something, not better, just more.
